McHenry Baseball Association (MBA) is a non-profit group of volunteers gathered together in order to provide kids of the McHenry school district with skills, character, sportsmanship, and community spirit, that is developed in organized baseball play.

MBA provides for fundamental development of baseball skills and knowledge. MBA offers a recreational baseball program for kids 5-16 years of age. In addition to regular in house play, we offer a chance to go out and play teams from different towns at a slightly more competitive level of play in our tournament teams. We also support a 9-15u travel program as well.

Our fields have been noted as some of the best in the region, due, in part, to an enormous amount of time given by many or the volunteers that make up the MBA, the local VFW Post 4600, and many generous donations by our community.

Our program

Our in house registration generally starts the first week in February. Drafting of players into teams follows in the middle of March. Our season begins in the later weeks of April with our championships ending before the 4th of July holiday.

One can expect to practice once or twice a week depending on manager / coach discretion. Our games are held 7 days a week. Teams usually play games once or twice a week.
